Origin of the name
The smaller facility is named after the world famous Riversdale born writer Dalene Matthee.

Dr William Charles Hansell Facility
Origin of the name
The larger facility is named after the first Worshipful Master of the Lodge Frere, Dr William Charles Hansell, a French medical practitioner
who found the Riversdale Freemasons movement in 1876 and built the lodge in 1888.
